CORSA membership is required to actively participate in any convention event.
General registration and events :
Note: Pre-registration period (discounted prices) ended May 25, 2008. Online registration will end one week before the convention, and may already be closed.
Your only other option is On-Site registration. Note you must register for any event by the DAY BEFORE that event, except for the Wednesday Beach Party BBQ which closes Monday at Noon, and the Friday night Awards Banquet which closes Wednesday at Noon.
The preferred method of registration IF YOU ARE A CORSA MEMBER is Online registration which can be done at http://members.corvair.org If you are a CORSA member you will need to register as an online member first. This is a quick and easy process in which your membership will be looked up, and you will choose a login name and password (remember what it is). This system can then be logged in to and you will sequentially do the following:
A. Register you and your family members who will attend (every one who will go to any event, tour, or the banquet). Choose Family Registration first if more than one in your group, but you still need to enter each name. This will allow the appropriate name badges and records to be made ahead of time for each event or registration.
B. Click Vehicle Registration button on bottom left to enter detailed info on your Corvairs which will be entered in any event. The detailed information on your car(s) allow our system to pre-classify your vehicle for some of the events you sign up for, which will hopefully speed up the process after you get to the convention. So please provide the details requested if you can.
C. Click Event Registration button on bottom left to register for the events you want to enter or participate in. Toward the bottom on the right choose how many people or events you want to register for. You then pick the event and person combination for each box that comes up. Each event must be assigned individually for each member of your family who is participating as a separate entry. Like if you have one car but two people are going to drive it to compete in the autocross you would pick "Add 2" then choose "Car Events" and in the two boxes that open up choose the same car in both, but a different person in each. This area is used also to sign up for Tours, the beach party, the banquet, as well as, merchandise, quantity of vendor tables and swap meet space. Again each person going to one of these needs to be listed separately. Vendor and swap space asked quantity of tables or swap spaces. You do not have to do all of them in one shot. It's better to add only a few similar things at a time with repeatedly choosing "Add 1, or 2, or 3, or 4" after you finish one group to add more.
D. Click Payment Button on the bottom left. This totals up the cost of everything you have registered for and lists it in a table so you can verify you got everything along with the grand total price. You then click the bottom right button Update & Checkout and you verify your contact/ credit card info and you proceed along a couple more steps and you're done. Be sure to print out the page showing everything you registered for and bring it with you when you come to help speed up the registration check in process.
It is easier than it sounds!
Hotel and RV camping spaces are done separately through this same system with the same login and password, but through separate links to different forms.
You can register you and your family, your Corvair(s) that you will enter into events. Events include Concours, Car Display, Rally, Economy Run, Edward N. Cole Competition, Model Car Concours, Valve Cover Races, Awards Banquet.
Indoor vendor table space at $30 (pre-registration) per 8 foot table and outdoor swap meet space at $20(pre-registration) per 10' X 20' space is also on this form. If you are buying outdoor swap meet space and intend to park a vehicle in that area while also putting stuff out on the ground you will need a minimum of TWO spaces. If yo are selling a really nice car out of a swap space you will probably want two to give you more width.
Tours and activities are also registered through this form, such as: Vandenberg AFB Rocket tour, Universal Studios Hollywood Tour, Wine Tasting Tour, The Nethercutt Collection Tour, and Santa Barbara via AmTrak tour. Note that some of these tours have a maximum number of persons allowed. That information will be on the Event details web page and has been published in recent CORSA Communique articles. If a tour greatly interests you please do not delay getting your reservation/ticket. Also we will have a Wednesday evening Beach Party BBQ that you can get your ticket for through the registration process.
Also Convention merchandise can be purchased on the registration form(online or downloaded hard copy). we have only three items: T-Shirts, Polo Shirts, and Beach Towels with the Convention Logo on them.
NOTE: Most registration items and merchandise except Tours increase in price after May 25
